The pain this type of arthritis causes is terrible, most of it because it comes without warning. Usually, the attack messes with only one joint, but I know cases where it spread to several joints. The gout gets trickier while it develops.
________________________
Faron Loren - Drug Rehab Facility
Re: Gout Cures – is there such a thing?

Although most textbooks claim that uric acid is the cause of gout, 90% of people with excess uric acid do not develop gout, even when their uric acid levels are highers than those of people with gout. The people that even people who have the genes for gout do not develop it, ususlaly until they are over 40 years old is that for a gout attack to occur the person has to have considerable iron accumulation (ferritin > 100) adn low copper levels. Men accumulate iron with age and as testosterone levels fall, they retian copper less efficiently. The best way to eliminate excess iron is to donate blood until ferritin drops below 40 and to take 2 mg per day of copper. This allows the person to eat meat, as long as ferritin is kept between 25 and 45 though periodic blood donatiion and copper supplements are taken.

Re: Gout Attacks

One area people overlook in their treatment of their gout is to make sure they stay hydrated. This flushes the excess uric acid out of the body. Alkaline water works best and more information can be found at http://waterionizersnow.com/

Re: Treatment for Gout – Prescription Drugs

This is so true, Mitchelle. The causes of gout is divided into two categories, either the body overproduces uric acid, which is the main component of uric acid crystals, or the body under excretes uric acid.

gout treatment

Re: Treatment for Gout – Prescription Drugs

Gout attacks are triggered by the diet you consume. It is but obvious that natural gout remedies will be more effective in bringing the problem under control. I'm glad you found this information helpful. The Purine Research Society did a whole study on this. Their focus was on autism in children but they also mention gout. If you want to read more, their website is http://www.purineresearchsocie... Most meats are definitely the culprits in goit problems. What other remedies have you tried?

Re: Hereditary Gout Causes and Purine Metabolic Disease

I’ve never heard of this. I wonder if this is why I feel better when I don’t eat meat?? I dunno.. just a thought. But, I’m glad you bring this up because there are so many things out there that people just aren’t informed of, for whatever reason. Thanks for writing this!
